14th CONFERENCE on HUMAN BIOMECHANICS, November 5th-7th 2012

is an International Conference of Biomechanics organized by the Institute of Physiology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and the Czech Society of Biomechanics.

The aim of the congress is to understand the state-of-the-art, exchange of experience, joint and establishment of cooperation among academic workers, company workers and scientific institutes. It is the official conference of the Czech Society of Biomechanics. The conference will consist of keynote/invited lectures, plenary lectures, tutorial lectures covering all aspects of biomechanics.

Deadline for abstract submission extended till May 15!

Extended contributions can be published in a special issue of the Bulletin of Applied Mechanics http://bulletin-am.cz/. Bulletin of Applied Mechanics is indexed in EBSCO, Google Scholar, DOAJ and is accepted as scientific peer-reviewed journal by the Czech Ministry of Education. The Bulletin of Applied Mechanics will not accept or publish manuscripts without prior peer review or papers published elsewhere. There will be a review process of manuscripts by two or more independent referees who are conversant in the pertinent subject area. If submitted before November 1st, full text will be published in 2012 issue.

Proceedings

All participants will obtain conference proceedings and a CD during the inauguration of the conference.

Official Language

Official language of the conference is English.

Student Awards

Three presentations of students (members of Czech Society of Biomechanics) will be awarded by "prof.Otahal award for young biomechanists". The best presenting student obtains 5000CZK, second 4000CZK and third 3000CZK. Prof. Otáhal, a former president of Czech Society of Biomechanics, was enthusiastic biomechanist who educated and influenced generations of czech researchers. Prof. Otáhal died in 2011.
